PRIVACY NOTICE.
This notice explains how Evorenti LTD, the company that owns and operates EVORENTI., handles personal information when you visit evorenti.com or contact us about a watch.
Last updated: .
1. Who is responsible for your information
Evorenti LTD is the data controller for the personal information it uses for its website and watch enquiries. This means we decide why and how that information is used. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
For privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights, contact Evorenti LTD by direct message to @evorenti on Instagram, stating that your message concerns data protection. Please do not post personal information in public comments.
2. Information we handle
If you contact us, we may receive your name, Instagram username or other contact details you provide, the content of your messages, and your watch preferences. These preferences may include brand, model, budget, condition, timeframe, box and papers requirements, and any additional details you choose to share. We receive this information directly from you, including through Instagram when you send us a message.
Our website hosting provider, Netlify, may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages and access times to deliver and protect the website.
Please only provide information relevant to your enquiry. We do not ask for identity documents, payment details or sensitive personal information through the wishlist tool.
3. How the watch wishlist works
The wishlist tool creates a draft message in your browser. Submitting the form does not send its contents to Evorenti LTD, a dealer or a website database. The copy button copies the draft to your device's clipboard when you choose to use it. We receive the message only if you send it to us, for example through Instagram. Instagram processes information under its own privacy policy.
EVORENTI. is currently pre-launch. A wishlist message is an expression of interest, not a paid sourcing order, purchase or reservation.
4. Why we use information and our lawful bases
We use enquiry details to respond to you, understand your watch preferences and discuss relevant availability or potential introductions. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and developing our watch business, balanced against your rights and reasonable expectations.
Where you ask us to take steps towards a specific service or purchase, processing necessary for those steps may instead be based on your request before entering into a contract. This does not mean that a wishlist message creates a contract.
Technical information is used for our legitimate interests in providing, securing and maintaining the website. Where information must be retained or disclosed to comply with a legal obligation, that obligation is our lawful basis. If we rely on consent for a particular use, we explain that use when asking and you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Sharing with vetted watch dealers
We may share relevant customer details with vetted watch dealers to help with a watch enquiry or an introduction you request. We limit the information to what is needed for that purpose, such as your watch requirements and, where needed for an introduction, your name and contact details. Before passing identifying contact details to a dealer, we explain the proposed introduction and confirm that you want it to go ahead.
Sharing necessary to respond to an enquiry is based on the legitimate interests described above, or on steps you request before a contract where applicable. Dealers may act as independent data controllers when handling your details and must explain their own use of them in their privacy notices. You can ask us which dealers have received your information.
We do not sell your personal information or share customer enquiry details for unrelated advertising. Services needed to operate the website and communications, including Netlify and Instagram, also process information as described in this notice. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up you request. When deciding whether continued retention is necessary, we consider whether the enquiry remains active, when we last heard from you, the nature of the information, and any legal or dispute-related need to keep it. Information no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry or stop contacting you. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or deal with legal claims. Instagram and Netlify apply their own retention arrangements to information they process; deleting our copy of a message does not necessarily remove copies held by those services or a dealer.
7. Security and international processing
We limit access to personal information to those who need it for the purposes described here and use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it. No website or messaging service can guarantee absolute security.
Providers such as Netlify and Meta may process information outside the UK. Where a transfer for which we are responsible requires protection under UK data protection law, an applicable adequacy regulation or appropriate safeguards, such as approved contractual protections, must be in place. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
8. Cookies and external services
The current website code does not set tracking cookies or include advertising or analytics scripts. The wishlist tool does not use website storage to save your entries. Your browser or device may retain information according to its own settings.
Instagram links open a separate service operated by Meta. See Instagram's privacy policy and Netlify's privacy policy for information about their processing.
9. Your data protection rights
Subject to the conditions and exemptions in UK data protection law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, or transfer of information where the right to data portability applies. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and may object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it.
Contact us through the privacy contact route above. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; where the law permits an extension for complex or multiple requests, we explain the reason and timing. Requests are normally free of charge.
10. Complaints
If you are concerned about how we handle your information, please contact Evorenti LTD so we can address it. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113. You do not need to contact us first to exercise that right.
11. Providing information and automated decisions
You choose whether to contact us or share a wishlist. Without the details needed to understand or respond to an enquiry, we may be unable to help with it. We do not use your information for solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, including profiling of that kind.
12. Changes to this notice
We update this notice when our services or information handling change and revise the date above. If a change requires additional information or consent, we provide it or obtain consent before the relevant new processing begins.
